• <br /> 039 HEALTH YOURSELF <br /> Policy Statement <br /> from the <br /> Orange County Commissioners <br /> The Orange County Commissioners recognize their responsi - <br /> bility to take a leadership role in helping ensure the good <br /> health of the county employees . The "Health Yourself" program <br /> is to help the county employees learn more about their own <br /> health needs and offer them alternative ways to improve or <br /> maintain a healthy lifestyle based on their own health risk <br /> factors . <br /> To achieve these goals , the Commissioners have committed <br /> county personnel and funds to administer this program. Each <br /> Department will assign one member to function as a "Health <br /> Yourself" delegate and will use work time to participate in the <br /> functions of this committee . To encourage l <br /> participation in "Health Yourself" , the Commissioners esupport <br /> employees using work time for the screening phase Pp the <br /> program. Additionally , the Commissioners requestthe of <br /> Health <br /> Yourself" classes to be scheduled at such times that will be <br /> convenient for employee participation . The program records of <br /> the county employees will be strictly confidential and not <br /> accessible by other county personnel . <br /> Further , the Orange County Commissioners recognize their <br /> responsibility to join in a partnership with all Orange County <br /> employers and health care providers to provide community members <br /> behavi o ps rttoi tl ways reduce these�earn to i dto t their personal health risk <br /> risks , <br /> healthy lives . In this spirit , the "Health Yourself' program <br /> will provide consultation and program services to other Orange <br /> County employers that respond to the health promotion needs of <br /> the community . <br /> • <br />
