_ ' 111) Mt If Ilk <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> OF THE <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ADOPTING AND DESIGNATING 076 <br /> THE LAND USE PLAN <br /> AS THE <br /> LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR <br /> ORANGE COUNTY, N. C. <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners adopted the Orange <br /> County Land Use Plan on September 2, 1981 ; and <br /> - WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has from time-to-time <br /> adopted amendments to the Qrange County Land Use <br /> Plan because of: <br /> 1. Changed or changing conditions in a particular <br /> area or areas of the County: <br /> An error or emission. in the Plan; or <br /> A change in the policies, objectives, <br /> principles or standards governing the physical <br /> development of the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, proposed amendments to Articles 2. 2. 12 through <br /> 2. 2. 14 of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance were <br /> presented at public hearing on February 22, 1988 <br /> which re-defined the nature, intent and method of <br /> adopting the Comprehensive Plan for Orange County; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, following the conclusion, of the public hearing and <br /> the receipt of the Planning Board recommendation, <br /> the Board of Commissioners adopted the proposed <br /> amendments on , 198_; and <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2. 2. 12 of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, <br /> states that one element of the Comprehensive Plan <br /> shall be a Land Use Element which designates the <br /> general distribution, location, and extent of the <br /> uses of land for housing, business, industry, open <br /> space, education, public buildings and grounds, and <br /> other categories of public and private uses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Oranoe County Land Use Plan adopted on <br /> September 2, 1981, and as amended, fulfills the <br /> purpose and intent of the Land Use Element of the <br /> Comprehensive Plant and <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2. 2. 13 of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, <br /> states_ that the Board of Commissioners, upon <br /> receipt of a recommended Comprehensive Plan, and <br />
