New- 045-
Orange Soil and Water Conservation District
Orange County Agricultural/Environmental Center
306 Revere Road
Hillsborough, NC 27278 Phone: (919) 732-9361, Ext. 451
March 3, 1988
TO: Eddie Kirk, Planning
FROM: Kenneth R. Ray, Orange District Technician
RE: EAGLE CHASE SUBDIVISION - Phase 2
The Eagle Chase Subdivision presently under consideration
consist of a Georgeville soil . Georgeville is a silt loam
type soil which has moderate to slight limitations for
dwellings with and without basements due to slope. There
is a low shrink-swell potential and moderate limitation for
septic systems due to slow percolation and slope; however,
this can usually be overcome by modifying the septic field
or increasing the absorption area.
For more detailed information on Georgeville soils, refer to
the Orange County Soil Survey.
CONSERVATION- DEVELOPMENT-SELF-GOVERNMENT
