ORANGE COUNTY • 039
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT
Meeting Date: April A 1988
Action iLada
Item #
SUBJECT: PHASE TWO EAGLES CHASE - PRELIMINARY PLAN
ACTION BY: May 10, 1988
DEPARTMENT: PLANNING PUBLIC HEARING Yes X No
ATTACHMENT(S) : INFORMATION CONTACT: Eddie Kirk
Checklist
Preliminary Plan Certification
Vicinity Map
Agency Letters
Preliminary Plan
Draft 3/21/88 Planning Board Minutes
TELEPHONE NUMBERS:
Hillsborough - 732-8181
Durham - 688-7331
Mebane - 227-2031
Chapel Hill - 967-9251
PURPOSE: Consideration of the preliminary plan for Phase Two
Eagles Chase subdivision.
BACKGROUND: The property is located in Hillsborough Township off
Ode Turner Road (SR 1130) . There are 14 lots proposed
out of 18 . 62 acres . The average lot size will be 1 . 11
acres . Each lot will have frontage on Jacobs Trail or
James Court. Both roads will be dedicated and
constructed to NCDOT standards . The property is zoned
Residential-1, and the Land Use Plan designation is
Rural Residential . All lots are proposed to be served
by individual wells and septic tanks . The closest
water line is located on Jefferson Drive north of
Interstate 40 and is approximately 2000 feet from the
property. The closest sewer line is a force main
approximately 3000 feet from the property located at
the Grady Brown School . The Rural Residential
designation in the Land Use Plan indicates this area
is suitable for low density residential development
that would not require urban-type services .
All agencies have reviewed the preliminary plan for
Phase Two Eagles Chase.
