47 Mapping Instructions 1 . All mapping is to be performed in accordance with National Map Standards. 2. The North Carolina Grid Coordinate System is to be used for horizontal control . Vertical control is to be referenced to the National Mean Sea Level datum. 3. Point elevations accurate to ±1 foot or better are to be given on all topographic maps for the reservoir study area and potential construction area for the following: (a) ground elevations immediately adjacent to all buildings (b) low points on roads and bridge decks at all stream crossings. 4. Final maps are to be presented on 24" x 36" mylar sheets. Scope of Services for Seven Mile Creek Study Area (Please refer to Enclosure C) The scope of services and mapping instructions for this project are essentially the same as those described for the Corporation Lake study area. This study area, as shown on Enclosure C, is also generally bounded by Contour 620. Interstate 85 forms the northern boundary limit. Additional boundaries for the potential dam construction area are as shown on Enclosure C. Please prepare a formal proposal for topographic services for this site. Proposed costs should be broken down by Task 1-7. Task descriptions should be the same as those used for the Corporation Lake study area, except that all references and study area descriptions should correspond to the Seven Mile Creek site. As was conveyed to you by phone on March 2 last, the Commissioners have authorized Piedmont Aerial Surveys to undertake Tasks 1 and 2 for both study areas for a total fee of $2,480 (i .e. , total is $1 ,840 for Corporation Lake and $640 for Seven Mile Creek) . We are pleased to hear that this work is in progress and, weather permitting, will be completed by the end of the week. We understand that work can commence on the remaining tasks upon receipt of authorization from the Commissioners.
