2-DEPARTMENT ON AGING FUNDING PROPOSAL <br /> 06C <br /> Such inquiries deal with the gamut of subjects: living <br /> accommodations, demographics, cost of livin g <br /> cultural events, educational and employmentopoortunities, <br /> health and medical services, etc . , etc. , etc. They come <br /> from the following sources: <br /> 1) Out-of-state residents doing telephone research as a <br /> result of media promotion, word of mouth, etc. <br /> 2) Out-of-state or non-local North Carolina residents <br /> on visits or vacations or simply passing through and <br /> taking the opportunity to look at possible future <br /> relocation . <br /> 3) Persons who choose to come for temporary residence <br /> prior to deciding on a permanent move . <br /> 4) Those inquiring for parents or friends interested in <br /> the area. <br /> 5) Newcomers checking into all available services as <br /> orientation to the community. <br /> 3. THE DEPARTMENT ON AGING SEEKS FUNDS TO PRODUCE AN EYE- <br /> CATCHING, PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED INFORMATION BRO- <br /> CHURE AIMED SPECIFICALLY AT PERSONS 60 AND OLDER. <br /> SUCH A PIECE WOULD PROMOTE THIS COMMUNITY AS THE <br /> POPULAR RETIREMENT AREA IS HAS BECOME AND MOULD <br /> DESCRIBE WHAT MAKES IT SO.
