On February 1, 1988, the Board of Commissioners approved a request from the Orange County Mental Health Association for funding an Employee Supportive Program Workshop. The $500 request will support a workshop entitled "The Humane Worplace: Employee Supportive Programs.'.' The source of funding is the Commission for Women's budget. 2. On February_-16, 1988, the Board of Commissioners approved a $1,500 request from the Dispute Settlement Center for additional funding. The requested $1,500 will support the Community Penalties Program. The source of funding is the Commissioners' Contingency. BACKGROUND: 3. On February 16, 1988, the Board of Commissioners approved a request from the Triangle J Council of Governments to provide financial assistance to the TJCOG Regional Systems Telephone Committee. The source of funding is the Community Development Income Survey. 4. The ABC Board pays Orange County $7,800 annually for vehicle usage. These funds accumulate in the County Capital Reserve fund. The ABC Board has paid $23,400 over the past three years; this amount has accumulated in the Fund Balance of this fund. This amendment will transfer- $22,670.00 to the General Fund for the purchase of Sheriff' s vehicles. RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve motion to amend the 1987-88 Budget Ordinance by the proposed amendments.
