033 <br /> RESOLUTIONS OF THE ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING <br /> BOARD REGARDING DESIGNATION OF THE UPPER <br /> ENO BASIN AS A CAPACITY USE AREA <br /> Consistent with its longstanding commitment to intelligent <br /> protection and management of water resources, the Orange County <br /> Planning Board supports-designation by the North Carolina <br /> Environmental Management Commission of the upper Eno River basin as a <br /> capacity use area as recommended by the Division of Water Resources of <br /> the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community <br /> Development. <br /> The Orange County Planning Board also urges the Environmental <br /> Management Commission to work with the affected local governments, <br /> particularly Orange County, within a discrete timeframe to develop <br /> regional cooperation and a management plan that would eventually lead <br /> to the lifting of this capacity use designation. <br /> The Orange County Planning Board urges the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners to begin work on such a management plan at the earliest <br /> opportunity. <br /> Resolved this 15th day of February, 1988. <br />
