073 <br /> CONTRACT BETWEEN INDEPENDENT OPINION RESEARCH AND COMMUNICATIONS, INC. <br /> AND <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> FOR PURPOSES OF A PUBLIC OPINION SURVEY <br /> This contract made and entered into this day of March, 1988 by <br /> Independent Opinion Research and Communications, Inc. located at 530 <br /> Causeway Drive, Wrightsville Beach, NC, herein referred to as Agency, <br /> and Orange County Board of Commissioners, located at 109 Court Street, <br /> Hillsborough, NC, herein referred to as client, do hereby agree to the <br /> following terms for the purpose of a public opinion survey of the <br /> registered voters of Orange County. <br /> The Client shall: <br /> 1. Provide a phone bank of 19-20 telephones for four evenings. <br /> 2. Review and approve the questionnaire to be used in the survey. <br /> 3. Pay in accordance with the payment section of this contract. <br /> The Agency shall: <br /> 1. Develop, pretest, program for computer and print a questionnaire for <br /> use in the survey. <br /> 2. Recruit, train, supervise and pay interviewers. <br /> 3. Draw a random sample of 400 voters. <br /> 4. Code, computerize and analyze the survey results. <br /> 5. Give oral and written presentations of the results. <br /> Payment: <br /> Cost of the survey will be $7,500.00. One half of the cost is due and <br /> payable at the beginning of interviewing. The second half is due and <br /> payable when the report is given. <br /> Karen E.
