RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS . the Orange County Board of Education has acquired <br /> land for educational purposes on Miller Road (State Road #1555) <br /> between the intersection of Miller Road and State Road #1588 <br /> and State Road #1556 , and <br /> WHEREAS , only 1. 4 miles of State Road #1555 remains unpaved, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Orange County Board of Education supports <br /> improved roads in Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS , the Orange County Board of Education has frequent <br /> use of this road by school buses, and <br /> WHEREAS , students in the Orange High School Vocational <br /> Education Program will construct houses on the above-noted <br /> land, beginning in 1986-87, and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange High School agricultural education students <br /> will use the remaining land as a field laboratory for growing <br /> crops , and <br /> WHEREAS , dust generated by vehicles passing on the road could <br /> constitute a respiratory health hazard for all of the students , <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Orange County Board of Education requested <br /> reevaluation of this road for paving on April 9 , 1984 , <br /> It is hereby resolved that the Orange County Board of Education <br /> requests again that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> and the North Carolina Department of Transportation reevaluate <br /> again the above-noted road for paving at the earliest date <br /> possible. <br /> Approved this fk day of 17.2c.1. , 1985 . <br /> Lo ' an aithcoc hairman <br /> 114 4... 4ir <br /> A� <br /> ii.AMOP . uns 0 -17;--7.- • tendent <br />
