He felt that to be an extreme amount for Orange <br /> County. Assignment of House Numbers <br /> a. Rural Routes 2 and 3 - Rougemont <br /> The presentation was made by Gene Bell. <br /> This agenda item is to receive citizen comment <br /> on proposed house and building numbers to be <br /> assigned to Rural Routes 2 and 3 in the <br /> County, served by the Rougemont Post Office. <br /> Per an agreement reached in January, 1987 <br /> between the County Manager and the Chapel Hill <br /> Postmaster, a joint project between the County <br /> and the Postal Service was undertaken to <br /> convert rural box numbers to permanently <br /> assigned house numbers. Since the adoption of <br /> the House Numbering Ordinance by the Board of <br /> Commissioners on April 21, 1987, three Chapel <br /> Hill rural routes, 2, 5 and 8, have been <br /> converted to street addresses. <br /> Rougemont Rural Routes 2 and 3 have now been <br /> prepared for the next conversion to house <br /> numbers. These two routes are located in <br /> Little River Township in northeastern Orange <br />
