Those issues and staff response are presented here for your <br /> review. <br /> I. ACQUISITION METHODS <br /> Concern was expressed as to the methods that would be utilized to <br /> acquire the property for parks and trails. Staff outlined the methods <br /> of purchase, dedication, donation, and easements. Citizens were assured <br /> , ,A, " , that condemnation was not being recommended as a method to acquire the <br /> land needed. Some citizens asked that that fact be "put in writing" in <br /> • the document. Staff stressed the importance adequate design/planning <br /> (of trails especially) so that effort be made to route the trails along <br /> V►' •/ the desired topography, routes and as availability well as of a route(via donati ons,compatible with land ease- <br /> use, <br /> 1 ' / land <br /> "" 7 ments and/or purchase methods). dedications, <br /> 1 <br /> pi-MI. DEVELO / IL L COST <br /> lijiJ ' Concern was expressed as to the cost of development and operation of the <br /> recreation facilities (pools, parks, and trails). Staff assured the <br /> 1 citizens that facilities would not be recommended for construction if <br /> operational monies were tiiot assured as well. These operational monies <br /> would include funding for litter clean-up and security patrol.
