20 .5 <br /> • The Board of County Commissioners <br /> shall hear applications for amendments nto this Planning <br /> Public Hearing at the County Commissioners last regular <br /> meeting in August , November , February and May . <br /> 20 .6 L1i.0—Rg.ari <br /> 20 .6 . 1 A public hearing shall be held by the Board of County <br /> Amended Commissioners before adoption of an <br /> 7 -2,84 this ordinance . Notice of the Y pr oposed amendment to <br /> by publishing said notice at least itwice riin a hnewspapervof <br /> general circulation in the County , stating the time and place <br /> of such hearing and the substance of the proposed amendment . <br /> This notice shall appear in said newspaper for two successive <br /> weeks with the first notice appearing not less than ten ( 10) <br /> days nor more than twenty-five (25) days before the date set <br /> for the public hearing . In computing the notice period , the <br /> day of publication is not to be included , but the day of the <br /> hearing is to be included . <br /> 20 .6 .2 The Zoning Officer in the case of amendments to the <br /> atlas shall post on the applicant 's affected ztying <br /> notice of the public hearing at least ten days rroreroy . a <br /> p <br /> date of said hearing . Y prior to the <br /> 20 .6 .3 <br /> Amended <br /> 11 -19-85 In the case of amendments to the Zoning Atlas , written notice <br /> shall be sent by certified mail to the affected <br /> owner and all adjacent property owners not less thanpfifteen <br /> days before the hearing date . Adjacent property owners are <br /> those whose names and addresses are currently listed in the <br /> Orange County tax records and whose <br /> property lies within five <br /> hundred feet of the affected <br /> property. <br /> If amendments to the Zoning Atlas are proposed b y <br /> notice shall be sent by first class mail to all eaffected <br /> property_ eers and to all adjacent property owners within <br /> - 500. feet as provided above . <br /> The Zoning Officer shall certify the mailing of all such <br /> notices to the Board of County Commissioners . <br /> 20 .7 ti <br /> i <br /> The Planning Board shall within thirty days after the public <br /> hearing prepare and submit for the Board of County <br /> Commissioners a recommendation concerning the disposition of <br /> the application . <br /> Failure of the Planning Board to <br /> within the required time shall be submit <br /> recommendation , without conditions . <br /> 20-3 <br />
