Mills 2/4/88 Letter <br /> Wildwood Drainage Study ( Separate enclosure) <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> PURPOSE: Consideration of a petition from NCDOT for approval of the <br /> addition of streets in Wildwood Subdivision, Sections One <br /> and Two, to the State-maintained Secondary Road System. <br /> BACKGROUND: The North Carolina Department of Transportation has <br /> submitted a petition for the addition of Judah Benjamin <br /> Court, Wade Hampton Road , Braxton Bragg Court, Joseph <br /> Johnston Court, John Breckinridge Drive, Charlie Tew Court, <br /> George Anderson Drive, and Walter Clark Drive in Wildwood <br /> Subdivision, Sections One and Two, to the Board of <br /> Commissioners for review. <br /> At the May 26 , 1987 quarterly public hearing, residents of <br /> Wildwood Subdivision appeared before the Board of <br /> Commissioners to express concern about drainage problems <br /> within the development. On August 18, 1987 , the Board of <br /> Commissioners authorized Hazen & Sawyer to conduct a study <br /> of the drainage problem. <br /> The drainage study was completed in late October of 1987 , <br /> followed by a meeting with the developer and his engineer. <br /> Opportunity was provided for the developer' s engineer to <br /> respond to the recommendations contained in the study. <br /> The study has been evaluated further by the Planning and <br /> Erosion Control Staff , and, on December 30, 1988, the <br /> petition under consideration was received. Conversations <br /> with NCDOT representatives have indicated that the study <br /> recommendations present no problems in terms of that <br />
