• <br /> PROGRAM SUMMARY <br /> COSTS: <br /> In addition to staff time, the major initial cost incurred was purchasing the <br /> bright orange binders imprinted with the title, the alphabetical tabs and the <br /> postage. Ongoing costs include staff time for quarterly updates,. distribution, <br /> printing costs and postage. Once the guide is distributed; all updates are <br /> free. <br /> r <br /> RESULTS: <br /> Requests for the Guide have come from major state newspapers, state level offices <br /> of several human service organizations, churches, and numerous private citizens <br /> who perform volunteer public service. The staff of the Nursing School at North <br /> Carolina Memorial Hospital have used the Guide in the Public Health Nursing <br /> curricula as an example of the support organizations available at the county <br /> level . The County Department of Social Services and the Health Department use <br /> the Guide on a daily basis.
