0.37 <br /> ABSTRACT <br /> The County ' s lack of an automated child support accounting <br /> and case tracking system resulted in a very time-consuming <br /> and error ridden process to provide clients and defendants <br /> with information about payments and arrearages . Our Judges <br /> were not able to quickly review a payment history while in <br /> court and there were multiple bookkeeping efforts tracking <br /> the same payment . These problems were addressed by the <br /> Orange County Child Support Enforcement Department with <br /> assistance from the Data Processing Department . The result <br /> was a computer network which was easy to use and <br /> inexpensive . The benefits of these procedures was quickly <br /> apparent to Judges and State personnel and the system was <br /> expanded to the State administered C perk of Court ' s office. <br />
