Chestnut Oaks Cluster Subdivision
• This proposed project would be locat-. upstream of ChASA's Stone Quarry
Reservoir and if improperly developed, could adversely affect the
quality of that supply.
• OWASA staff recommends that Lots 5, 6 7, 8, 24, 25, 26 and 27 be moved
to within the 10-acre open space area adjacent to Jo Mac Road. This
will provide further protection of the steeper sloped areas along the
intermittent streams and will provide additional buffer area for the
assimilation of pollutant runoff from the development.
• Locations for the recommended sanitary sewer easements are: along the
intermittent streams identified on the plat.
• It appears that some of the proposed 1 is and roadways will be located on
some steeply sloped areas of the site; significant
sedimentation and erosion can occur if effective sedimentation and
erosion control measures are not implemented in a timely manner and
permanently maintained. Consideration should be given to the benefits
of constructing a stormwater/pollutant management facility, such as a
small wet pond, on the intermittent stream downstream of the project.
Thank you very much for your consideration of the above comments. Please do
not hesitate to contact me if you have an questions relative to OWASA's
position on the proposed project.
Sin -ly,
e;;;Ic
Patrick K.
