Although the <br /> proposals were approved by the Commissioners, the actual <br /> amendments were not presented for consideration. Item #2 will <br /> also need to be considered as well as the following: <br /> 1 . A petition from the Stoneycreek Neighborhood <br /> Association to be included in the Rural Buffer. . <br /> 2. A ( possible) petition from Fox Meadow Subdivision <br /> residents to be left in the County ' s jurisdiction <br /> or moved to the Chapel Hill Joint Development Area. <br /> 3. A petition from E. K. Powe, representing property <br /> owners in the Rural Buffer, to have the boundary of <br /> Transition Area II moved northward to include his <br /> clients property. <br /> 4. A request from Randy Danziger, a Calvander <br /> resident, to adjust the Transition Area I boundary <br /> to follow the western right-of-way line of Old N. C. <br /> 86 south of Homestead Road. <br /> On Wednesday, January 13, I met with the Planning <br /> Directors of Chapel Hill and Carrboro for the purpose of <br /> developing a schedule at which these items could be presented <br /> at public hearing. Initial attempts at scheduling such a <br /> hearing (February 22 and March 8) had been unsuccessful due <br /> to insufficient staff time for zoning plan preparation and/or <br /> governing board conference/meeting conflicts. <br /> Listed below is a tentative calendar of events related <br /> to a proposed public hearing date of April 13. The date <br /> provides more time for municipal staffs to prepare the <br /> required zoning plans but does not push the hearing so far <br /> back as to conflict with the County' s regular hearing date of <br /> May 23. <br /> Event rate <br /> Chapel Hill Planning Board 16 February 1988 <br /> prepares recommendation on Land <br /> Use Plan Amendments and Zoning Plan <br /> Chapel Hill Town Council prepares 22 February 1988 <br /> recommendation on proposals <br /> Carrboro Board of Aldermen conducts 23 February 1988 <br /> public hearing on Zoning Plan and <br /> amendments to Land Use Ordinance <br /> providing for Transition Area <br />
