206 <br /> are classified as "principal " or "secondary" amendments. <br /> Principal amendments include: <br /> a) Additions to or modifications of policies, <br /> objectives, principles or standards; <br /> b ) The creation of new activity nodes or additions to <br /> existing activity nodes which exceed ten ( 10) acres <br /> in land area ; or <br /> c) Proposals for new freestanding plan areas or <br /> additions to existing areas that exceed one hundred <br /> ( 100) acres in land area. <br /> Secondary amendments include: <br /> a) The expansion of an activity node where the <br /> additional area is contiguous to an existing node <br /> and does not increase its land area by more than <br /> ten ( 10) acres; <br /> b ) The expansion of a designated plan area where the <br /> additional area is contiguous to the existing plan <br /> designation and does not increase its land area by <br /> more than one hundred ( 100) acres; <br /> c) A correction of an error or omission ; or <br /> d ) Revisions to any factual or descriptive material . <br /> 2. 2. 14 . 3 Ca2jid.QtatLQn of_Ameg.dments <br /> Except as noted herein, the submission and consideration <br /> of applications for proposed amendments to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan or portion thereof shall be governed <br /> by the procedures contained in Article 20 of this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> Principal amendments shall only be considered once each <br /> year at the quarterly joint public hearing in February. <br /> Secondary amendments may be considered four ( 4 ) times <br /> each year at the quarterly joint public hearings in <br /> February, May, August, and November. <br /> No proposed amendment is to be considered in conjunction <br /> with a rezoning, planned development or special use <br /> permit request for the same property.
