Specifi-
cally, local sewer utilities were requested to submit a pro-
posal outlining personnel, vehicles and equipment needed to
monitor, operate and maintain the County gravity collection
system, central pump station and four individual pumps. OWASA
was the only utility that responded to the request for
proposals. After receiving OWASA's proposal County management
met with OWASA management to review and clarify all elements
of the proposals.
Although both staffs believe the attached maintenance arrange-
ments is potentially workable, OWASA Board of Directors has
not reviewed the proposal nor have possible legal
ramifications been discussed.
The 1987-88 operations budget for the Efland Sewer project is
$25, 000. OWASA's proposal is within the budgeted amount.
Based on the attached proposal the cost estimates for the
remainder of the 1987-88 fiscal year are as follows:
Item A. Operation and Maintenance of McGowan Creek Pump
Station
Item B-D. "As needed" corrective maintenance
