046 <br /> emergency. <br /> (4) Unamplified noises at street activity (such as fairs or parades) <br /> where the participants have a permit for use of the streets. <br /> (5) All noises coming from the normal operation of properly equipped <br /> aircraft (not including scale model aircraft). <br /> (6) All noises coming from motor vehicles properly equipped with the <br /> manufacturers' standard mufflers and noise reducing equipment in <br /> use and in proper operating condition. <br /> (7) Noise from lawful fire works and noise makers on holidays. <br /> (8) Lawn mowers and agricultural equipment used between daylight <br /> and 9 P.M. when operated with all the manufacturers' standard <br /> mufflers and noise reducing equipment in use and in proper <br /> operating condition. <br /> (9) Agricultural equipment operated for farming purposes. <br /> Article V: Permit to Exceed Maximum Permissible Standards <br /> (1) A person or group of persons intending to operate or cause to be <br /> operated a source of sound in excess of sound levels not <br /> requiring a permit as specified in Article II, must apply for a <br /> permit. <br /> (2) Any person or persons desiring a permit shall apply as provided <br /> herein and provide all information required. <br /> (a) The applicant must apply for a permit at least forty- <br /> eight (48) hours prior to the activity for which the <br /> permit is requested. <br /> (b) The Orange County Manager, or his designee, will act <br /> upon all requests for a permit to exceed maximum <br /> -5- <br />
