As I understand it OWASA has made <br /> three recommendations to the County either in the <br /> context of the Dal-Rae Subdivision or in some broader <br /> context . Those recommendations are as follows : <br /> 1. All community based systems should have a <br /> dual alternating absorption field system installed with <br /> an additional backup field area. <br /> 2 . Primary and backup septic tank sites <br /> approved by the Health Department should be clearly <br /> designated on the plat and required to remain <br /> undisturbed . <br /> 3 . Subdivisions located within the <br /> University Lake Watershed or in the Rural Buffer <br /> outside or within the watershed should be required to <br /> provide a 30-foot wide public utility easement in a low <br /> lying area for future extension of public water and <br /> sewer . <br /> The County subdivision regulations provide <br /> that the Health Department shall review the subdivision <br /> and certify it as to the proposed water and sewage <br /> systems .
