Commission for Women Bylaws - page 5 <br /> 108 <br /> sectors and shall maintain a liaison with the news media <br /> and agencies concerned with the status of women. <br /> Section 2. Committee Membership. The Coordinator shall be a <br /> non-voting, ex-officio member of all committees. <br /> Section 3. Selection and Evaluation. The Coordinator shall be <br /> hired by the County Manager with consideration of <br /> recommendations made by the Executive Committee of the <br /> Commission. The Executive Committee shall solicit <br /> reviews from other Commission members to forward to the <br /> Manager regarding the Coordinator 's performance. This <br /> shall be done prior to the Coordinator 's Annual Review. <br /> It is the Chair 's duty to present these recommendations <br /> and reviews to the Manager . <br /> Article VIII . Meetings <br /> Section 1. Regular Meetings. The Commission shall meet at least <br /> once every other month. Committees, including <br /> Legislative and other Ad Hoc Committees, should meet at <br /> least once during the intervening months when <br /> applicable. <br /> Section 2. Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall meet <br /> at least quarterly. <br /> Section 3. Special Meetings. Special meetings may be called by the <br /> Chair or at the request of a majority of the members. <br /> The purpose of the meeting shall be stated in the call . <br /> Except in cases of emergency (when a minimum of six <br /> hours notice shall be given) , at least three days notice <br /> shall be given. <br /> Section 4. Open Meetings. All meetings of the Commission, including <br /> the Executive Committee, committees, subcommittees, and <br /> task forces are subject to the Open Meetings Law <br /> (N. C.G. S. 143-318. 13) . Individuals and/or groups who <br /> wish to make presentations should request time on the <br /> agenda from the Chair prior to the call to order . <br /> Section 5. Quorum. A majority of the members shall constitute a <br /> quorum for the transaction of business at any time. <br /> Section 6. Rules of Order. All meetings should be conducted in <br /> accordance with the latest edition of Robert 's Rules of <br /> Order . <br /> Article IX. Standards of Conduct <br /> Section 1. Conduct. In conducting Commission business, members <br /> shall recognize and follow policies and guidelines <br />
