I am enclosing all <br /> of the information that I think you will need and I hope that you will <br /> still be able to attend the Commissioner's meeting on Monday, December <br /> 7th, 1987 at 7:30p.m. at the Old Post Office building on Franklin and <br /> Henderson Streets. Levi Green, the gentleman who has been working with <br /> me, will be attending and he is going to contact Attorney John Stewart <br /> to see if he can also attend. Listed below are some points that you can <br /> discuss at the meeting: <br /> POINTS: <br /> (1) No re-evaluation notices were received by any of the Tax Payers <br /> involved including: Leila Atwater Graham (Map Reference #7.122.A.4), <br /> Estelle E. Atwater (Map Reference #7.122.B.14C), Larry & Viola <br /> Atwater (Map Reference #7.122.B.18), Goldie A. Moore (Map Reference <br /> #7. 122.B. 15A) nor any of the several other parties that were con- <br /> tacted by Mrs. Patricia Bains, the daughter of Larry & Viola, Atwater <br /> as well as their property manager and the niece of the remainder of <br /> the above mentioned Land Owners. <br /> (2) The Chief Appraiser, Mr. John Smith, stated that he had received many <br /> complaints, from Tax Payers stating that they had not received their <br /> re-evaluation notices. <br /> (3) According to the Chief Appraiser, Mr. John Smith, the Leila Atwater <br /> Graham property (Tract #702362 & Map Reference #7. 122.A.4) was re- <br /> evaluated and assessed as though the entire seventeen (17) acres <br /> were located on the Western side of Smith Level Road. The actual <br /> map designation shows that only approximately five (5) acres are <br /> on the Western side and the balance of approximately twelve (12) <br /> acres are located on the Eastern side. Mr. Kermit Lloyd, Tax Super- <br /> visor concurred with these findings. <br />
