Efforts are currently in the contract <br /> stage. <br /> 3. Discussion on PageTrack Software <br /> This item provides an opportunity to discuss issues and opportunities relating to <br /> PageTrack software. Emergency Services is working closely with Efland Deputy Chief <br /> Pete Hallenbeck. Efforts have been made to configure some Gateway boxes to talk to <br /> the PageTrack server, meaning that fire and Emergency Medical Services can see one <br /> another. Work is continuing on getting the remaining Gateway boxes configured and <br /> Deputy Chief Hallenbeck has suggested a meeting to figure out what can be done with <br /> this capability and how to manage it. <br /> 4. Training Facilities for County First Responders <br /> Orange Rural Fire Chief Jeff Cabe will provide initial comments for this item at the <br /> meeting, followed by additional information and comments by others as necessary. <br /> Emergency Services welcomes the opportunity to join others at the table for discussions <br /> regarding a countywide training facility. Emergency Services has been coordinating to <br /> actively reach out to state and federal resources gathering information that may provide <br /> guidance and direction on best practices to pursue this venture. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is no financial impact anticipated as a result of these discussions on <br /> the topics listed above. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> discussion of the topics above: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, gang <br /> activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board and Chiefs receive <br /> updates on the identified issues and opportunities noted above and discuss as necessary. <br />
