I have worked as a geriatric social worker and am a long time <br /> believer in the connection of maintaining physical and mental activities as well as connection to <br /> the larger community to help people age with integrity and dignity. Recently retiring as a high <br /> school teacher, I clearly see the importance of maintaining ties to a larger community to lessen <br /> the isolation created with retirement.
