2 <br /> Staff compiled a list of specifications that meet the County's needs and compared these <br /> specifications to information on units bid by the Texas Local Government Purchasing <br /> Cooperative. There were no noted deficiencies and staff determined that all specifications <br /> met the County's needs. The recommended units consist of 2017 Freightliner 122SD Cab <br /> and Chassis with a Swaploader SL650 Hook Lifts at a per unit cost of $203,488. The <br /> Pricing Sheet and Warranty Memorandum are attached. <br /> Action Agenda Item Number 6-f requests the BOCC to declare Truck #1780 and #1680 as <br /> surplus once the new trucks are received and put into service as they will likely exceed the <br /> $5,000 value threshold. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The purchase price of each Hook Lift Truck along with recommended <br /> options is $203,488 for a total of cost of $406,976 for two (2) units. The debt finance purchase <br /> of these trucks was included in the adopted 2016-17 Solid Waste Budget, and if approved, will <br /> be part of the Spring 2017 financing package. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with the purchase of these trucks. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve awarding <br /> the purchase of two (2) Hook Lift Trucks to Freightliner of Austin, TX at a delivered cost of <br /> $203,488 each for a total of $406,976. The Manager also recommends that the Board: 1) <br /> declare Truck #1780 and #1680 surplus after receipt of the new trucks and 2) authorize the <br /> AMS Director to affect the sale of these items through GovDeals. <br />
