The Board endorsed the concept and <br /> during budget deliberations approved the vehicles necessary <br /> to implement the program during fiscal year 1987-88. <br /> Sealed bids were accepted on July 24, 1987 for the emergency <br /> apparatus to equip the full complement of take-home fleet <br /> vehicles. A tabulation is attached. <br /> Funds are appropriated in the Approved Budget to purchase <br /> these items. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Award bid for fourteen (14) radios and installation <br /> of all equipment, to Piedmont Communications for a sum of <br /> $24,925; award bid for fifteen (15) fully equipped visibars <br /> to National Police Supply for a sum of $9493.35; award bid <br /> for fifteen (15) tachographs to Nichols Speedometer for a <br /> sum of $12, 075. <br />
