(formerly The Art School) is <br /> currently renovating the supermarket building at 300 E. Main <br /> Street, Carrboro, N.C. They were able to obtain $40,000 in <br /> grant monies by allowing the Senior Center to be housed in <br /> the building for a period of no less than ten (10) years. <br /> The attached lease details the terms and conditions that <br /> have been negotiated with Jacques Menache, Executive <br /> Director of the Center. <br /> The Orange County Department on Aging intends to operate a <br /> nutrition site as well as several other programs for Seniors <br /> at this facility. In addition, the space is available <br /> within a designated time frame for other meetings that the <br /> County may hold. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: To approve the lease with the Art Center, Inc. from <br /> September 1, 1987 through June 30, 1992 for the purposes <br /> designated in the lease for a sum of $1,136.00 and authorize <br /> the Chair to sign on behalf of the Board. <br />
