The construction <br /> of this water main shall be in accordance with the following <br /> conditions: <br /> a. The TOWN shall engage a registered professional engineer <br /> 9 r <br /> to prepare plans and specifications for the construction of the <br /> water main improvements. <br /> b. Unless otherwise provided in this Contract, all <br /> construction shall be in accordance with City policy, standards <br /> and specifications. All work shall be subject to inspection b <br /> the CITY, at the City ' s expense. Inspection p vn shall be by <br /> provided <br /> according to City policy. The TOWN engineer shall provide <br /> construction stakeout and supervision. <br /> c. All construction shall be performed by a contractor <br /> licensed to perform this type of work in the State of North <br /> Carolina. The contractor must be approved by the CITY before a <br /> Contract is entered into between the TOWN and the contractor. <br /> d. Before starting construction, the TOWN shall secure <br /> approval of the construction plans by the CITY, The North <br /> Carolina Department of Transportation, and the North Carolina <br /> Department of Human Resources. - <br /> e. The -TOWN shall furnish the CITY original tracings of the <br /> as—built plans when the work is complete. <br /> f. Unless a plat showing dedication to the public of street <br /> right—of—way and the water easements required to serve the <br /> Project is already recorded in the Orange County Registry or <br /> unless existing public streets are officially maintained by <br />
