I indicated that I <br /> would provide you with information regarding that issue as <br /> well as the proposed water/sewer policy since the two <br /> elements were inter-related. Provided below Is background <br /> information and comments regarding the water line agreement <br /> as requested by Ken Thompson . The Planning Board will meet on <br /> July 14, 1987 and prepare a recommendation regarding the <br /> agreement for the Commissioners August 3 agenda. <br /> BACKGRQS)ND <br /> On June 2, 1987, Ken Thompson requested Planning Staff review <br /> and comment on the attached Durham-Hillsborough water line <br /> agreement. Missing was a map denoting the service area <br /> boundary referenced in the agreement. Barry Jacobs, the <br /> Planning Board Chair, provided me with a copy of same on June <br /> 19, and, on June 23, the City of Durham Engineering <br /> Department notified me of the pending agreement and the <br /> service area boundary. <br /> On June 20, 1987, the Orange County Planning Board approved a <br /> proposed water/sewer policy. I had proposed placing the <br /> policy on the Commissioners July 6 agenda. However, Ken <br /> instructed me to send copies of the proposal to all utility <br />
