General + .Df1ifs Brrad .merIs Before adopting or amending any ordinance authorized by G.S. 153A — Article 18 ( counties) or G. S. 160A — Article 19 ( cities and, in some instances, counties ) , a public hearing must be held. Notice of the hearing must be published once a week for two 0 successive calendar weeks. The notice must be published the first time not less than 10 days nor more than 25 days before the public hearing date.
