Please note that this <br /> memorandum has zoI been pre—audited by the County Attorney. <br /> General + .Df1ifs Brrad .merIs <br /> Before adopting or amending any ordinance authorized by G.S. <br /> 153A — Article 18 ( counties) or G. S. 160A — Article 19 ( cities <br /> and, in some instances, counties ) , a public hearing must be held. <br /> Notice of the hearing must be published once a week for two <br /> 0 successive calendar weeks. (C) indicates <br /> that the statute covers cities end counties, with both subject to <br /> • the notice requirements listed above. (S) indicates that a <br /> separate act or statute exists for counties without specific <br /> notification requirements. <br />
