March 31 , 1987 <br /> III At the March 10, 1957 public hearing, Orange County <br /> residents expressed confusion about notification procedures <br /> for public hearings. The Chair of the Board of Commissioners <br /> asked that County ordinances be reviewed to determine if <br /> there were inconsistencies in public notification procedures. <br /> Marvin Collins conducted that review and transmitted the <br /> results of that review in a memo dated March 11 , 1957 (copy <br /> attached) . <br /> That memo made two recommendations. The first was to <br /> establish uniformity in the ordinance amendment procedures b <br /> amending the ordinances to eliminate minor inconsistencies. <br /> The response to that recommendation in the form- of proposed <br /> amendments to the Zoning Ordinance (Article 2.3.3) and to the <br /> Subdivision Regulations (Section VIII—B) 1s attached. <br /> Please note that these amendments do not address the <br /> written notification procedures in the <br /> notification is now required for ZoningdiAtlassamendments,� <br /> Special Use Permits, and Variances. <br /> ordinance text revisions. As indicatedlinitheotmemouofe March <br /> _for <br /> 11th, In the second recommendation, expanding notification <br /> will require a policy decision to be made. Until the policy <br /> is established, we will not know whether ordinance revisions <br /> are needed or desired. <br /> S <br />
