'or _ <br /> o Q The Planning Department has compiled and analyzed data on <br /> soils, topography, hydrology, land use, and transportation <br /> in the study area. This information, in part, provides the <br /> basis for identifying planning issues and concerns in the <br /> area. The overriding concern is growth, not just in the <br /> study area, but also in adjacent areas to the south and <br /> east. Two elements of concern addressed include expected <br /> growth pressures from the Treyburn development and water <br /> quality concerns related to the Lake Michie and Little River <br /> Reservoirs in Durham County . <br /> Major differences between the 1981 and 1987 Little River <br /> Township components of the Land Use Plan are summarized on <br /> the following sheet. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Staff recommends approval of the amended text <br /> and map and incorporation into Section 3.7 of the Land Use <br /> Plan. <br /> Following the public hearing, the Little River Township <br /> Advisory Council (TAC) will meet to prepare a <br /> recommendation.The Planning Board will consider the TAC <br /> comments and prepare a recommendation on the Plan amendment <br /> at its June 15, 1987 meeting. The Board of Commissioners <br /> will consider the proposal for decision on July 6, 1987 . <br />
