upon such terms as are satisfactory to both County and the <br /> grantee. <br /> The authority granted by a preexisting permitted <br /> use franchise shall be limited to providing cable television <br /> service to the homes connected to the CATV system and served <br /> on the date of the expiration of an existing valid franchise <br /> or on November 24 , 1980 , whichever date is later , and to <br /> providing reasonable, ordinary maintenance of the CATV system <br /> in place on the applicable date. No such CATV system shall <br /> be extended. In all other respects the authority granted by <br /> the preexisting permitted use franchise shall be as <br /> prescribed in Section XIII of the Orange County Cable <br /> Television System Ordinance. <br /> All rights reserved to the County prescribed in <br /> Section XIV of this ordinance shall pertain to any such <br /> preexisting permitted use franchise except that the grantee <br /> shall not be required to post the surety bond described in <br /> Section XIV(f) . The liability of the grantee to reimburse <br /> the County for expenses incurred by it in connection with the <br /> granting of the franchise shall be limited to the application <br /> fee paid by the applicant. <br /> All other provisions of the Orange County Cable <br /> Television System Ordinance inconsistent with this section <br /> are superseded by this Section with respect to a preexisting <br /> permitted use franchise. <br /> 45 <br />
