Purpose. <br /> In the public interest and for the promotion of the <br /> public health, safety, welfare and convenience, and pursuant <br /> to statutory authority contained in N.C.G. S. Section 153A-137 <br /> and other applicable laws, the following rules are adopted, <br /> which rules set forth the conditions , limitations , <br /> restrictions and requirements under which a person may <br /> construct or cause to be constructed , operate and maintain a <br /> community antenna television system, and engage in the <br /> business of providing a community antenna television service <br /> in the unincorporated areas of Orange County. <br /> Section II . Definitions . <br /> For the purposes of this ordinance , the following <br /> terms , phrases , words , abbreviations , and their derivations <br /> shall. have the meaning given herein . When not inconsistent <br /> with the context, words used in the prssent tense include t <br /> future tense . The word "shall" is always mandatory _:n <br /> 1., <br /> merely directory. <br /> Board shall mean the board of county commissioners of orange <br /> County, North Carolina. <br /> CATV shall mean cable ;community nt -n na) television. <br />
