For some reason (wishful thinking, I <br /> suppose) I believed it had been outlawed several years ago. <br /> I have a friend whose dog lost its leg in such a trap--it dragged the <br /> trap home with it, and needless to say, the leg was not much use after <br /> that experience. <br /> I walk and jog alone in the country; I would not dare do so in many <br /> places if I did not have my dogs with me. I take them into areas <br /> away from roads to protect them from cars; I do not wish them exposed <br /> to the dangers of being trapped in leghold traps. <br /> These traps are inhumane by any standards.
