When a <br /> trap closes, it is similar to a car door slamming shut on a human <br /> hand. <br /> --Many nontarget animals--such as pets--are caught in them. <br /> --They are a danger - to small children. <br /> --Trapping does not help control rabies, and may actually fuel <br /> outbreaks by removing animals that have acquired a natural <br /> immunity to the virus. <br /> --Several states and counties have legislated against the steel <br /> jaw trap already.
