Denoted on the Plan map and in <br /> the text residential use gy, described s <br /> low-density <br /> least two acres in size. <br /> To conform the Orange County Zoning Ordinance ( and Atlas) <br /> with the Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan, a public hearing <br /> was held on November 24, 1986. The purpose of the hearing <br /> was to consider a proposed Rural Buffer (RB) zoning district <br /> and accompanying dimensional requirements, including a two- <br /> acre minimum lot size requirement . <br /> On January 5 , 1987 , the Board of Commissioners adopted the <br /> RB zoning district designation and dimensional requirements <br /> applicable therein. At the same meeting, petitions with 643 <br /> signatures were received, requesting that the Joint Planning <br /> Area Land Use Plan be amended to reduce the lot size stan- <br /> dard in the Rural Buffer from "one dwelling unit per two <br /> acres" to "one dwelling per acre" .
