My client is keenly interested in a matter on the <br /> agenda for the Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday, May 19, 1987. <br /> This matter is the consideration of preliminary plat approval for the San- <br /> Reba Woods subdivision, located on a parcel of property adjacent to and <br /> immediately east of my client' s property. <br /> My client' s interest and concern arises from the fact that, as shown on <br /> the enclosed reprint of a portion of Eno Township tax map 16, the property <br /> owned by Cultivation, Inc. •(lot 26) is presently landlocked. Good planning <br /> practice demands that, throughout the subdivision approval process, an <br /> effort be made to ensure that the street system of a proposed subdivision <br /> will be developed so as to ensure adequate access to surrounding properties <br /> and to coordinate with existing and proposed streets. It is this <br /> consideration that I am asking you to give to my client' s situation. <br /> As your agenda packet reveals, the San-Reba Woods project is a 34-lot <br /> subdivision on approximately 35 acres (lot 24A on tax map'16). Access to <br /> the project is from Craig Road on the east. The plan proposes three <br /> streets within the subdivision, but none would be constructed to my <br /> client' s property line. Phase III does, however, contain a right-of-way <br /> which would conceivably provide access. In your review of this subdivision <br /> proposal, I respectfully request that you consider imposing one or more of <br /> the following requirements to ensure the access for my client that I <br /> believe is consistent with sound planning practice. <br /> • <br /> • <br />
