Lineberry, <br /> Sr. to repeal G.S. 162A-7. Enacted in 1955 it requires that <br /> water and sewer authorities receive the additional approval of <br /> the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission prior <br /> to exercising the power of iminent domain to obtain land. <br /> OWASAs reasons for seeking the repeal are embodied in attached <br /> April 23, 1987 resolution and May 4, 1987 letter. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: As the Board decides. <br />
