Emily Crudup, Planner II <br /> FROM: Mary Anne Black ` }jg <br /> DATE: March 4, 1987 <br /> RE: Carl Lloyd Subdivision <br /> Upon review of the preliminary plan for the ro <br /> p paste Carl Lloyd Subdivision I <br /> see two elements warranting comment from a recreation and park perspective: <br /> 1. the subject property's location within the JPA, requiring dedication <br /> of land for public recreation purposes <br /> unit, equalling y 2 � the ratio of 1/35 acre per <br /> 9 approximatel 11,201 1 f•ft22.. <br /> 2. the 22,900 ft2 designated along Neville Creek as "recreation/open <br /> space". Although only required to provide approximately 11,201 ft2, <br /> the developer is proposing a strip of land approximately twenty (20) <br /> feet wide along the creek. It is my concern that this area's width <br /> would make this strip of land unusable for greenway <br /> this creek is designated for such in the Land Use Plan. yet <br /> I would like the opportunity to "walk" the <br /> suitability for a greenway and/or dedication property do at this area's <br /> convenience. my earliest <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to offer these staff comments.
