March 4, 1987 <br /> RE: Courtesy Reviews -- Winton Place • <br /> McAdams Estates — Section Two <br /> October Woods — Division of Tract #3 <br /> Upon review of the preliminary plans for the above-mentioned proposed <br /> subdivisions, I offer the following comments from a recreation and park <br /> perspective. <br /> WINTON PLACE <br /> No element on plan warranting comments, unless subject property's location <br /> is within the Town's planning jurisdiction. If this is indeed the case, <br /> I would recommend payment-in-lieu of dedication of land for public <br /> recreation/open space in that no area on the property is designated for <br /> greenway and/or park purposes. <br /> McADAMS ESTATES -- Section Two <br /> Payment-in-lieu of dedication is recommended, with calculation based on <br /> all eight lots (1-8). <br /> OCTOBER WOODS --- DIVISION OF TRACT #3 <br /> Areas on the subject property are designated as proposed greenway. The <br /> .dedication requirement would constitute too thin of a strip of property <br /> `along Price's Creek to be usuable as a greenway, thus, I would like the <br /> opportunity to discuss with the developer the possibility of her/his <br /> interest in dedicating a wider strip along this creek. I will do so at <br /> my earliest convenience and forward comment to,you. <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to provide these staff comments.
