d. Every collector shall maintain a copy of all <br /> receipts and disposition records for one ( 1) year. <br /> B. A Quality Assurance program to ensure adherence to <br /> these standards shall be carried out within the Animal Control <br /> Division. <br /> C. The Animal Control Director shall be responsible for <br /> the full and proper application of this policy. Questions <br /> concerning the applicability or interpretation of this policy <br /> shall be the responsibility of the Animal Control Director. <br /> Section XXII - Penalties . The following penalties shall <br /> pertain to violations of this ordinance. <br /> A. The violation of any provision of this ordinance shall <br /> be a misdemeanor and any person convicted of such violation <br /> shall be punishable as provided in North Carolina General <br /> Statute § 14-4, or other applicable law. Each day's violation <br /> of this ordinance is a separate offense. Payment of a fine <br /> imposed in criminal proceedings pursuant to this subsection does <br /> not relieve a person of his liability for taxes or fees imposed <br /> under this ordinance. <br /> B. Enforcement of this ordinance may include any <br /> appropriate equitable remedy, injunction or order of abatement <br /> issuing from a court of competent jurisdiction pursuant to North <br /> Carolina General Statute § 153A-123(d) and (e) . <br /> C. In addition to and independent of any criminal <br /> penalties and other sanctions provided in this ordinance, a <br /> violation of this ordinance may also subject the offender to the <br /> civil penalties hereinafter set forth. <br /> - 34 - <br />
