6 . Each bird must have a perch and sufficient room <br /> to sit on a perch. Perches shall be placed horizontal to each <br /> other in the same cage. Cages and perches must be cleaned every <br /> day and cages must be disinfected when birds are sold or as <br /> otherwise transferred. Parrots and other large birds shall have <br /> separate cages from smaller birds . <br /> 7 . There shall be sufficient clean, dry bedding to <br /> meet the needs of each individual animal. Provision shall be <br /> made for the removal and disposal of animal and food waste, <br /> bedding and debris, to assure the enclosure is maintained in a <br /> clean and sanitary manner. <br /> 8 . All animals must be fed, watered, and all cages <br /> cleaned every day, including Sundays and holidays . <br /> Section XXI - Permits and Standards for Animal Collection. <br /> A. A permit for the collecting of dogs and cats for sale <br /> shall be required before any individual may engage in any action <br /> in Orange County in furtherance of any action involving or <br /> relating to the collection or procurement of dogs and cats for <br /> sale or disposal . A permit allowing such actions will be issued <br /> only upon payment of a fee set by the County Commissioners and <br /> demonstration by the applicant that the following requirements <br /> shall be met: <br /> 1 . Permit Application: <br /> a. An application for a collection permit shall be <br /> made by each and every individual involved in the collecting of <br /> dogs and/or cats in Orange County for the purpose of sale or <br /> other disposal .
