003 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br /> RENCHER STREET IMPROVEMENT AREA <br /> PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> The Rencher Street Area is located just outside the corporate <br /> limits of Hillsborough. The area is a blighted neighborhood and has <br /> the following conditions: <br /> HOUSING: <br /> 28 deteriorated houses <br /> WATER: <br /> Inadequate (2-inch) lines on Rencher Street and the area <br /> north of Rencher Street has no public water. <br /> SEWER: <br /> Areas is served by malfunctioning septic systems and 8 <br /> dwellings have privies. <br /> STREET: <br /> Rencher Street and the No Name Street north of Rencher <br /> are unpaved. <br /> In order to eliminate the above blighting conditions, the <br /> following project activities are proposed: <br /> ACTIVITY COST <br /> Acquisition <br /> Acquire 45,300 sq. ft. of $ 30,804 <br /> right-of-way and easements <br /> for sewer and street improvements <br /> Housing Rehabilitation <br /> Rehabilitate to HUD Minimum $219,100 <br /> Property Standards 28 houses <br /> @ $7,825.00 each <br /> Street Improvements <br /> Rencher Street: 1,350 1 .f. of $ 89,800 <br /> new 20' wide asphalt paved roadway <br /> --- No Name Street: 450 l .f. of new $ 27,000 <br /> 20' wide asphalt paved roadway <br />
