Letter from <br /> Superintendent TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968 -4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: To consider adopting the attached Resolution assuring the school <br /> system that funds in an amount of $100,000 to construct two <br /> additional classroom units will be appropriated in the 1987-88 <br /> County budget. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools have expressed a need for <br /> two additional classroom units for the beginning of school next fall. <br /> The total cost of the units is estimated by the school system to be <br /> $100,000. Assurance from the County of an appropriation in the <br /> 1987-88 budget for these classroom units is needed at this time in <br /> order that construction can begin in time for occupancy by August, <br /> 1987. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve the resolution and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />
