Residences. Since the hearing, Don Powell has spoken <br /> on the phone or in person with several citizens. Letters have <br /> been sent to all indicating what action can or will be taken in <br /> regard to their concerns. Listed below is a summary of these <br /> actions. Note particularly that requests for public road name <br /> changes require a separate public hearing in accordance with G.S. <br /> 153A-240 . <br /> 1 . Mt, Roger Barr <br /> Complaint: Multiple changes have already been made in rural <br /> routes; Oak Hill Road ( place of residence) has a <br /> confusing loop configuration which makes traffic <br /> flow and mail delivery awkward ; has accepted <br /> past changes without due process; hopes this <br /> change will be final . <br /> Action : Letter sent to Mr. Barr apologizing for premature <br /> notification of address change; informed that Oak <br /> Hill Road was a public road and that name change <br /> would require public hearing (G.S . 153A-240 ) ; <br /> concerns regarding awkward placement of stop signs <br /> referred to NCDOT representative. <br /> 2. Mc, k Mosher <br /> Complaint: Agreed with house numbering system; disturbed by <br /> premature notice of address change; Oak Hill <br /> Road resident concerned with dangerous <br /> intersection at Oak Hill Road and Sunrise Road . <br /> Action : Provided same response as for Mr. Barr since their <br /> concerns were very similar. <br /> 3. Mr. Jack pendziwater <br /> Complaint: Concerned about premature notification; Sunrise <br /> Road resident with concerns about 911 <br /> communication system; service overlap by <br /> telephone, electric and postal agencies creates <br /> confusion and hardship. <br />
