Box 29510 <br /> Raleigh, NC 27626-0510 <br /> Dear Ms. Webster: <br /> Reference Docket No. P-89, SUB 23 <br /> At the Orange County Board of Commissioners/ meeting on <br /> April 6, 1987, I was authorized, by unanimous vote, to <br /> transmit this, our reply to the Respondents' separate comments on <br /> our proposals of October 23, 1986, which included all of our <br /> previous requests. <br /> Without relinquishing any rights to call for other forms of <br /> action under the procedures and rules of the North Carolina <br /> Utilities Commission, in our reply we are asking the Commission: <br /> 1) To keep all of our previous requests open; <br /> 2) To order General Telephone to respond to our previous questions <br /> as a local exchange company with subscribers in Orange County; <br /> 3) To order Centel and AT&T and General and AT&T to develop <br /> practical plans and budgets, for complete review, for implementing <br /> fault-tolerant and self-healing networks through their class 5 <br /> office levels. <br /> 41) To request progress reports on studies AT&T has initiated as <br /> outlined in its response of August 28, 1986; <br /> 5) To keep the docket open to review the results of these <br /> requests and of call monitoring to and from Hillsborough; and <br /> 6) To modify the heading on the docket to reflect that Shirley <br /> Marshall is now Chair of the Orange County Board of Commissioners. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Shirley Marshall <br /> Chair <br /> RAH:ws <br />
