711 <br /> RESOLUTION 162 <br /> Whereas, the continued population growth and land development in <br /> Orange County have made it necessary and desirable that areas of <br /> outstanding natural significance be identified and protected. <br /> Whereas, such natural areas are important for their ecological, <br /> educational, scientific, cultural, recreational, and aesthetic <br /> values. <br /> Whereas, the Triangle Land Conservancy's Orange County Chapter has <br /> developed an agreement with the North Carolina Natural Heritage <br /> Program to organize and supervise an inventory to identify these <br /> natural areas. <br /> Now therefore, be it resolved that the Orange County Recreation <br /> and Parks Advisory Council Recreation recommends that the Orange <br /> County Commissioners provide financial assistance to the Triangle <br /> Land Conservancy for completion of a natural areas inventory of <br /> the County. <br /> This day of March, 1987. <br /> Dwaine Parker, Chair <br /> Orange County Recreation & Parks <br /> Advisory Council <br />
